Residents of the 144 beautifully landscaped homes in Flower Mound’s Towne View Estates enjoy a wonderful location with award-winning schools, major roadways, proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and a pleasant neighborhood. Residents of Flower Mound homes also enjoy a reasonable cost of living, employment options, a low crime rate, great schools, ample shopping, restaurants, and services, and easy access to the lake, trails, and open spaces. It is no wonder that Money magazine chose Flower Mound real estate as a “Best Places to Live” in the nation.
Situated in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Denton County, Towne View Estates in south Flower Mound real estate is near Lake Grapevine and Marshall Creek, an area rich with rolling hills and woods. Lewisville real estate lies to the east and Highland Village, Double Oak, and Bartonville are north.
The entrance to Towne View Estates is on the southeast corner of FM2499 and FM3040, across from The Flower Mound, the city’s namesake. Near the center of the city, in the 1840s European settlers called the area by the unmistakable 50-foot high mound of springtime blossoms. Over a hundred years later in 1961, William Wilkerson spearheaded the incorporation of the town to avoid annexation by another city. Today the flower mound is fenced and marked with an historical marker.
Now the city bustles with a population of approximately 65,000 and the citizens work hard to preserve the sanctity of a rural environment. The town adopted the SMART growth management plan in 1999 after watching the population burst from 1,685 in 1970 to a 13 percent annual growth rate in the 1990s. The plan encourages conservation development projects to protect and preserve existing open space, vistas, and natural habitats.
The children and youth are served by the Lewisville Independent School District’s highly acclaimed schools. Children living in Towne View Estates attend Bluebonnet Elementary School, Shadow Ridge Middle School, and Flower Mound High School. The LISD provides activities such as Adopt-a-School program, which allows businesses, organizations, or individuals the opportunity to support a school by providing special services or materials. In addition, several top colleges and universities are located within 30 minutes of the neighborhood.
The Towne View Estates Home Owners Association welcomes newcomers to the beautiful neighborhood. The community website offers useful information and documents about the Home Owners Association and the community including information about community events such as the Halloween festivities; contact information for the Board; information about volunteering for committees; important documents such as the bylaws, covenants, conditions and restrictions, and necessary forms. Association dues are a modest $330 per year, paid semi annually.
