River Oaks Estates is a premier neighborhood of 135 breathtaking country estates in the Town of Flower Mound developed on large lots in the middle of a mature oak forest.  Flower Mound, Texas is a southern Denton County community featuring single-family homes, beautiful subdivisions, and gated communities.  Residents of Flower Mound TX homes in River Oaks Estates enjoy a low tax rate, excellent Lewisville ISD schools and private schools, fantastic recreational options, safe neighborhoods, and a wonderful quality of life.  (Ask about similar homes in Highland Village near Lake Lewisville.)

The extraordinarily beautiful Flower Mound real estate is a convenient 28 miles northwest of Dallas, 25 miles northeast of Fort Worth, and three miles north of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  The superb location in the Metroplex is just right for business people and professionals.  In addition, residents can take advantage of an entire spectrum of employment options and cultural and sporting amenities in the region.

That is one reason why this 44-square-mile town has been growing quickly.  The 1990 population of 15,527 has blossomed to 63,000 today.  However, the proactive citizens are making sure that grow happens in the right way.  The city, which calls itself a “town”, is a great caretaker and takes pride in being a leader in managed growth and environmental sensitivity.  The Cross Timbers Region—the largest natural hardwood forest in the United States—remains 55 percent undeveloped today.  At one time, the area was also the site of the sacred gatherings of the Wichita Indians.  European settlers referred to it by the mammoth mound of grasses and wildflowers, a mound now set apart as a historical marker.

The location between Grapevine and Lewisville lakes provides a wide variety of recreational options.  Water fans cool off during the warmer months.  Sailors and windsurfers may skim around the shimmering surface waters.  Picnickers and campers relax under the boughs of some very old trees, after exploring trails on foot, mountain bike, and horseback.

Some 3,700 to 5,800 square foot homes in River Oaks Estates recently sold for between $439,000 and $1,137,000.  Thanks to some marvelous craftsmanship and builders adding to the neighborhood’s beauty from 1996 to 2006, many expansive custom homes add punch to an already lovely neighborhood.   Auburn, B & B Custom, Benchmark Custom, Corley, Garvey, Howard, K & H, Pierce, Pressley, Riverstone Custom, Rosemont Custom, S & S Custom, Sinatra Classic, Stellar Custom, Stonehaven Custom, Tapestry Custom, and V. Patrick Gray Custom Homes along with BTE Builders, C. Scott Lewis, Carpenter Construction, Morey & Associates, Randy Bolig Home Builder, and Tailor Made Custom Builders have made their mark along streets such as River Bend, High Point, Blue Wood Trail, and Beaver Creek.

The mature neighborhood features a home-owners association website created to bring convenience, savings, information, and management efficiency to the community.  It includes a management office, document center, e-mail notification service, news articles, and a directory—an online community available for registered residents.
