One fabulous subdivision in the heart of Flower Mound, Texas real estate is the equestrian community of Hidden Valley Country Estates.  Modest homes on 1+-acre lots that feature an array of full-grown trees and large yards are the norm along Hidden Valley’s roads with names like Ridgecrest, Rain Tree, Valley View, and Hidden Trail.  A variety of Victorian, English Country, Mediterranean, and other architectural designs add a dash of spice to the cul-de-sacs and rural-feeling roads.  Hidden Valley’s private landing strip is the cat’s meow for professionals who fly to work in neighboring states and around the Great State of Texas.

Many of these Flower Mound homes in Hidden Valley are priced from $270,000 to $420,000.  They were built in the 1980s, a little bit smaller (3,000-4,000 square feet) and more affordable than the newer oversized homes.  The exquisite settings alone at Hidden Valley Country Estates—in the woods less than a mile from the Grapevine Lake amenities—in today’s market are an excellent value.  In addition, many of these homes in Flower Mound feature private swimming pools, paddocks, shelters, and other amenities.

The rapidly growing town has been lauded for its comprehensive trail system, low taxes, great schools, variety of employment options, and wonderful neighborhoods.  For Money magazine’s Best Places to Live ratings, a sampling of a broad range of qualities portrayed the Town in a very positive light.  With a high median family income over $100,000 a year, it is also considered an affordable place to raise a family.

Right at home with other cowboys and cowgirls, your family will also enjoy the Flower Mound Equestrian Center.  This training facility for riders and horses specializes in Hunter/Jumpers and Dressage.  Known for its horse whispering record of transforming problem horses into champions and reserve-champion horses, the Center also won first place in the Battle of the Barns.

The trail system connects neighborhoods, schools, and shopping areas to parks, recreational facilities, and other trail systems including multi-use trails great for horseback riding.  The Metroplex also boasts unique multi-use trail systems allowing residents to ride long distances on horseback.

Students living in homes at Hidden Valley Country Estates are served by the Lewisville Independent School District.  Liberty Elementary School (rated Exemplary), McKamy Middle School (Exemplary), and Flower Mound High School (Recognized) offer a strong curriculum.  Both teachers and students regularly achieve high honors and recognition.  Several nearby private and parochial schools, such as Liberty Christian School, Coram Deo Academy, and The Highlands School, present options for interested families as well.

The University of Dallas is the closest institution of higher education and the Metroplex is also home to several other highly regarded colleges and universities.

Residents find employment at several business centers such as Las Colinas, in the two major cities, at the DFW International Airport only a few miles away, and in several industries and service sectors.  The thriving economy is due to the prime location in the heart of the Metroplex, mixed with the genius, hard work, and vision of the people.
